"The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act of 1994 (USERRA)"

Overview: 

The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) Advisor assists veterans in understanding employee eligibility and job entitlements, employer obligations, benefits and remedies under USERRA. The law is intended to encourage non-career uniformed service so that America can enjoy the protection of those services, staffed by qualified people, while maintaining a balance with the needs of private and public employers who also depend on these same individuals.

 Biography: 

Tim Lambert, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has been a human resources professional for over 35 years and a member of SHRM since 1983. He retired in May, 2015, as the Human Resources  Manager of Gulf Power Company in Pensacola, FL, a subsidiary of Southern Company, based in Atlanta, GA. An active volunteer leader, Tim served as President of Greater Pensacola SHRM in 2012 . Additionally, Tim retired in 2010 as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and currently serves as the State Vice-Chairman for North Florida of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and as the Gainesville/Ocala Area Chairman for ESGR
